Allagash Abductions	This incident occurred on August 20, 1976 when four men, Jim Weiner, his twin brother Jack, Chuck Rak and their guide, Charlie Foltz, all in their early-twenties, ventured on a camping trip into the wilderness of Allagash, Maine.

Tunguska Event	Generally considered to be a meteor that impacted the Earth's surface - fortunately in a remote area - in 1908.
Cydonia, Mars	The famous Face of Mars. Later shown to be merely a lucky fluke of geography and shadows.
2007 Peruvian Meteorite Event	Meteorite impacts near a village. No-one is killed but some fall ill (from arsenic poisoning).
Vulcan	A small planet proposed to exist between Mercury and the Sun to explain anomalies in Mercury's orbit. Became 'obsolete' when the theory of General Relativity was discovered.
Planets beyond Neptune	Are there any? Or rather, are there any large ones? Are they a threat? Why doesn't Pluto count anymore?
Sirius	The brightest star in the night sky. An African tribe may have had knowledge about it that would seemingly have been impossible to know without telescopes.
