Allegory of the Cave	An allegory used by the Greek philosopher Plato in his work The Republic.
Brain in a Vat	Any of a variety of thought experiments intended to draw out certain features of our ideas of knowledge, reality, truth, mind, and meaning.
Consensus Reality	An approach to answering the question 'What is real?'.
Dream Argument	The argument that one could actually be dreaming constantly, instead of being in waking reality (or at least that one can't be certain that he or she is not dreaming).

Hypnagogia	The transition between wakefulness and sleep, including daydreaming and various sensory phenomena.
Evil Daemon	A belief in a personification who is as clever and deceitful as he is powerful, who has directed his entire effort to misleading one.

Psychic Surgery	Invasive surgery through paranormal means. Generally considered to be fraudulent.
Remote Viewing	Gathering information about an unseen target via paranormal means such as ESP.
Mind Control	Methods of supposedly modifying the way others think, feel & behave.
Automatic Writing	The process, or product, of writing material that does not come from the conscious thoughts of the writer.
