Ancient Societies

Nine Unknown Men	According to occult lore, the Nine Unknown Men are a two millennia-old secret society founded by the Indian Emperor Asoka c. 270 BCE.
Flat Hat Club	One of the first collegiate secret societies, members of which were Thomas Jefferson, St. George Tucker and other prominent figures.
Martinism	A form of mystical esoteric Christianity centered around the figure of Christ enabling individuals to attain an idealized state before the Fall.
Illuminati	A name given to many fictitous and real secret societies, mostly to the Bavarian Illuminati, estabilished in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt. One of the aims of the Enlightenment embracing society was to remove monarchy in any available way. The society, believed to be connected with Freemasonry was banned together with all secret societies in Bavaria in 1784.
Ariosophy	Ariosophy or Armanism are names given to ideological esoteric systems pioneered by Guido von List, who elaborated a racial religion premised on the concept of returning to the pagan religions of the ancient Indo-Europeans and renouncing Christianity, and Jörg Lanz von Liebenfels.

Hellfire Club	A club initially established in 1719 for 'persons of quality' to take part in immoral acts.
Ordo Templi Orientis	An international fraternal and religious organisation, founded by Aleister Crowley in the beginning of the 20th century. Believed to be modeled after Freemasonry and the Bavarian Illuminati.
Thule Society	A cover name given by a German occultist, Rudolf von Sebottendorff, to his Munich lodge of the Germanenorden Walvater of the Holy Grail. The secret society was an schismatic offshoot of the Germanenorden, also known as Ariosophy. In 1919, the organisation developed connections between itself and the extreme right parties in Munich, resulting in the creation of Deutsche Arbeitpartei, also known as the German Worker's Party, which, in 1920 was reconstituted as the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, also known as the National Socialist (Nazi) German Workers Party.
Opus Dei	A controversial Catholic Church organisation, centered around Catholic belief of life being the path to sanctity.
UKUSA Community	The UKUSA Community is an alliance of Anglosphere countries led by the United States and United Kingdom for the purpose of gathering intelligence via signals intelligence.

APEN	An unknown group of investigators that specialise in the field of UFOs.

Zapruder Film

The Zapruder film is a silent Standard 8 mm color home movie of the presidential motorcade of John F. Kennedy through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963, filmed by a private citizen named Abraham Zapruder. The film is the most complete visual recording of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
